Day 1: Arrival in Muscat
Upon arrival at Muscat International Airport, complete immigration, collect luggage. Transfer to hotel for check-in. Overnight: Muscat hotel Meals Included: None
Day 2: Muscat City Tour & Sunset Dhow Cruise
09:00 AM: Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque: Admire stunning Islamic architecture (modest dress required: head/shoulders/knees covered). Mutrah Souq: Explore spices, fabrics, handicrafts—perfect for souvenirs and bargaining. Bait Al Zubair Museum: Omani artifacts, costumes, weapons, historical exhibits. Al Alam Palace: Photo stop at the Sultan's ceremonial palace with Portuguese forts Mirani & Jalali. Lunch at local restaurant. 16:00 hrs: Sunset dhow cruise (shared basis) along Muscat's coastline. Overnight: Muscat hotel Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
Day 3: Bimah Sinkhole & Wadi Shab
09:00 AM: Bimah Sinkhole: Swim in this crystal-clear geological wonder. Wadi Shab: Trek to lush pools amid banana plantations (wear sturdy shoes for slippery rocks). Picnic lunch. Return to Muscat. Overnight: Muscat hotel Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
Day 4: Muscat – Wadi Bani Khalid – Wahiba Sands
09:00 AM: Wadi Bani Khalid: Swim in clear pools surrounded by palm groves and mountains. Lunch at local restaurant. Wahiba Sands: 4WD dune bashing, desert sunset, experience Bedouin life. Overnight: Desert camp Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Day 5:
Breakfast, then scenic drive to Nizwa: Oman Across Ages Museum: Oman's history from ancient times to present. Nizwa Fort: 17th-century defensive masterpiece with panoramic views. Nizwa Souq: Spices, silver jewelry, pottery, textiles. Lunch at local restaurant. Overnight: Nizwa hotel Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
Day 6: Nizwa Animal Market – Misfat – Bait Al Safa – Jabrin – Muscat
After breakfast: Nizwa Animal Market (Friday mornings): Livestock trading (cows, goats, camels). Misfat Al Abriyeen: Traditional Mountain village with falaj irrigation system. Lunch at local restaurant. Bait Al Safa: Restored Omani house with handicrafts and cultural displays. Jabrin Castle: 17th-century fort with painted ceilings, murals, historic library. Return to Muscat. Overnight: Muscat hotel Meals Included: Breakfast, Lunch
Day 7: Departure from Muscat
Breakfast (if time permits), and transfer to the airport for departure.
